Description

&lt;ul&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Flexible, synthetic materials. The resin adheres well to metallic and non-metallic materials and resists tracking. Dielectric loss are low. The system is RoHS conform (European Directive 2002/95/EC). The system is UL 94V-0 listed.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
Instructions

&lt;ul&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;The resin and hardener are mixed according to the specified ratio at ambient temperature, preferably using automatic dosing and mixing equipment. If the resin has been stored for a long period of time, it is recommended to stir well the complete content of the container and to check the viscosity before the processing is being started. Formation of lumps has to be prevented by applying of appropriate stirring conditions. The mixture is applied at ambient temperature (above 18℃)。The moulds should be treated with a release agent (e.g.MICAFIL 8055) to facilitate subsequent mould removal. For complicated components, or if optimal electrical properties are specified, casting under vacuum is required. Components and moulds generally do not need pre-heating for casting with Micares®X1087BK R11. Reactivity of the casting compound however, can be changed on request, and or by pre-heating the mould to about 40℃ to 80℃, e.g, to reduce cycle-time. Accelerator  can   be   used   without   adverse effects on the final properties of the resin. We can supply a suitable product separately.&lt;/li&gt;

Curing/post-curing

&lt;ul&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;This resin is especially designed for hardening at ambient temperature . The curing time depends on the resin quantity and temperature. Final curing  therefore can be achieved after a few hours or days. Or considerably less at higher temperatures. The self-heating effect of low  exothermal  reaction  in  the  resin, depending on the resin quantity, is usually sufficient to bring it to final hardness in 10-24 hours.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
Storage

&lt;ul&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Polyols and isocyanate based hardeners can be stored for one year in the original sealed tin s stored in a cool, dry place. The hardeners may present an increase in viscosity that does not change the cured system properties. Both components should be stored in appropriate room  in  their  originally  sealed  containers. Avoid storage outside! The resin is chemically stable. However, before use, the resin must be carefully  stirred  with  a  suitable  equipment since all resins containing mineral filler tend to build deposits. Stirring with particular care is necessary, when the resin has been stored for a long period of time. Important: the hardener must be kept away from any exposure to humidity. It should always be stored well sealed.&lt;/li&gt;

Ceramacasttm586, a new high temperature ceramic potting cement developed by Aremco Products, Inc., is a zirconium-silicate based, phosphate-bonded, chemically-setting ceramic compound ideal for bonding and potting high temperature electrical components including power resistors, infrared heaters, cartridge heaters, gas igniters, halogen lamps, and temperature sensors for applications to 2800℉(1535℃). &lt;br /&gt;

Features&lt;br /&gt;
Ceramacasttm 586 exhibits exceptional electrical and mechanical properties. The dielectric strength and volume resistivity are 125 volts/mil and 109 ohm-cm, respectively. The compressive strength is 8,000 psi and the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) is 2.7(4.9) ppm/℉(℃).&lt;br /&gt;
Ceramacasttm586 is supplied as a powder and is mixed with water to a paste-like consistency in a ratio of 100 parts powder to 13-15 parts water by weight. It is easily dispensed through pneumatic dispensing equipment and it provides a one-hour pot life and hardening time of 6-8 hours. A full cure is achieved by step curing for 1-2 hours each at 200℉ and 350℉, respectively, or setting at room temperature for 24 hours. Cured product exhibits a porosity of less than 2% and zero shrinkage. At 1000℉, the shrink rate is less than 0.3%.&lt;br /&gt;
Ceramacasttm 586 is supplied from stock in quart, gallon and five gallon pails. It is one of a series of Ceramacasttm products that have been developed for ultra high temperature electrical assembly applications.&lt;br /&gt;

	&lt;li&gt;Avoid air trapping. For some applications it can be useful o pre-heat the components and/ or carry out a de-aeration step under vacuum of the mixture before casting.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;For a room temperature curing system postcuring allows fast stabilization of the material and obtainment of he best electrical and mechanical properties. During he curing process I is advisable o avoid thermal variations higher than 10℃/ hour&lt;/li&gt;

The following process&amp;nbsp;is recommended for&lt;br /&gt;

	&lt;li&gt;Pretreatment&lt;br /&gt;
	Ensure that all components are clean, dry and free from contaminants such as oil and fatty materials.&lt;br /&gt;
	E 471-5LL contains filler materials that tend to settle within certain limits and depending on the storage condition. Therefore, thorough agitation of the resin part is required prior to the mixing process&amp;nbsp;itself.&lt;br /&gt;
	Hours&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Application&lt;br /&gt;
	Mix E 471-5LL with C 471-5LL. The processing time of this epoxy casting compound at room temperature is limited, as for all cold-hardening systems, and will be influenced by the starting temperature of the components and the exothermic reaction process. These factors are, above all important for manual processing where care must be taken on the amount mixed.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Curing&lt;br /&gt;
	Room temperature curing of this system occurs after 24-72 hours after pouring and will develop full properties after seven days. Alternatively the resin may be cured @ 80℃&amp;nbsp;for 4 hours after it has gelled. Room temperature cure is recommended for minimal stress on components. Note must be made that the reaction cure speed increases as the amount of mixed material increases.&lt;/li&gt;

Packaging

	&lt;li&gt;Elantas Malaysia E 471-5LL resin &amp;amp; hardener are currently sold in a set mix ratio (by weight) of 6 kg &amp;amp; 0.9 kg (100:15) for ease of use.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Please note that this mix ratio must be adjusted if dosing through a meter mix dispenser or other measuring systems using volume.&lt;/li&gt;

Coupled with this it possesses excellent thermal cycling characteristics ensuring service performance in applications requiring large bulk castings.&lt;br /&gt;

E88/C89 is crack resistant producing a tough, hard product with good thermal conductivity (rate of thermal transfer). It meets the requirements of UL94 V-0 and is found in UL file number E100866.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Since it is 100% solids, no solvent fumes are present during the cure process at elevated temperatures.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Areas of Application&lt;br /&gt;
The preferred applications for E88/C89 are via conventional potting / encapsulation application for units such as conventional electric motors where good heat transfer properties are required.&lt;br /&gt;

Using drum heaters, preheat parts A and B with slow agitation to 60 to 70&amp;deg; C (140 to 158&amp;deg;F)&lt;br /&gt;
After drums have reached uniform 60-70&amp;deg; C (140 to 158&amp;deg; F), transfer material to holding (&amp;quot;MOOV&amp;quot;) tanks. Fill tanks to level of 4 to 6 inches.&lt;br /&gt;
Vacuum material at 0.5 mm Hg and 90&amp;deg;C (194&amp;deg;F)&lt;br /&gt;
Check ratio of meter mix machine. Material dispensed should be 85 to 88&amp;deg;C (186 to 191&amp;deg;F).&lt;br /&gt;
Mixing chamber settings should be 0.5 mm Hg and 95&amp;deg;C (203&amp;deg;F)&lt;br /&gt;
Preheat transformers to 105 to 110&amp;deg;C (220 to 230&amp;deg;F)&lt;br /&gt;
Curing conditions are one of the following:&lt;br /&gt;
1 1/2 hrs. at 125&amp;deg;C (257&amp;deg;F)&lt;br /&gt;
3 3/4 hrs. at 100-110&amp;deg;C (212 to 230&amp;deg;F)&lt;br /&gt;
1 hr. at 135&amp;deg;C (275&amp;deg;F)&lt;br /&gt;

Packaging&lt;br /&gt;
Elantas Zhuhai E88/C89 resin &amp;amp; hardener are currently sold in a set mix ratio (by weight) of 32kg &amp;amp; 36kg for ease of use.&lt;br /&gt;

Please note that this mix ratio must be adjusted if dosing through a meter mix dispenser or other measuring systems using volume.&lt;br /&gt;

Application and Handling Guidelines&lt;br /&gt;
The product is best used at temperatures between 65 &amp;deg;F and 80 &amp;deg;F. Temperatures below 65 &amp;deg;F will slow&amp;nbsp;the cure speed of the material and viscosities will be&amp;nbsp;higher. Temperatures above 80 &amp;deg;F will cause the&amp;nbsp;material to cure faster and viscosities will be lower.&lt;br /&gt;
For consistent dispensing maintain temperature in the&amp;nbsp;above mentioned range.&amp;nbsp;For optimum bond strength and to insure maximum&amp;nbsp;performance in the finished assembly, join parts&amp;nbsp;together within the specified work time of the&amp;nbsp;adhesive. Make sure the bond joint has uniform&amp;nbsp;coverage and that a sufficient amount of adhesive is&amp;nbsp;in the bond area. It is important to have the adhesive&amp;nbsp;applied, parts aligned and positioned, within the&amp;nbsp;established work times for the product. To ensure&lt;br /&gt;
maximum performance in the finished assembly parts&amp;nbsp;should remain undisturbed until the fixture time is&amp;nbsp;reached.&amp;nbsp;Clean up is best before the adhesive has cured.&amp;nbsp;Cleaners containing acetone or Citrus terpene provide&amp;nbsp;the best results. On cured adhesive repeat use may be&amp;nbsp;required.&lt;br /&gt;

The shelf life of the Vibra-Tite PB500 is 6 months&amp;nbsp;from date of manufacture. Shelf life is based on the&amp;nbsp;products being stored properly at temperatures&amp;nbsp;between 55 &amp;deg;F and 75 &amp;deg;F. Additionally, the shelf life&amp;nbsp;can be extended to 9 months if stored in refrigeration&amp;nbsp;from date of manufacture. 	Unlike other types of water borne or Soluble varnishes, GRC 59 does not need or utilize the use of any solvents to keep the resin in solution with the water carrier.&lt;br /&gt;
	This feature allows the user to avoid TITLEV Air pollution permitting and the need to Keep the varnish “in-balance”.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;No pH concerns&lt;br /&gt;
	Tank maintenance with GRC 59 is not an issue. pH does not need to be tested or adjusted at any time. Behaviour or other water based epoxy and polyester varnishes can be erratic if neutralization is not maintained and controlled.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Tank Stability&lt;br /&gt;
	The catalyst system in GRC 59 does not require ionic neutralization. The combination of resins and surfactants that comprise the base polymer has allowed users of GRC 59 to enjoy a truly maintenance free, high performance varnish-in excess of one year without any replenishment.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Dripping/ Icicles&lt;br /&gt;
	GRC 59 is comprised of both medium and higher molecular weight epoxy resins.&lt;br /&gt;
	Once the liquid phase is exposed to the air, the water readily evaporates and the resin coalesces into a coherent film. The higher molecular weight resin does not allow the product to drip or run once coalescence occurs. No drainage stalactites are formed during the baking cycle ensuring a very clean finish both on the exterior of the lamination pack, copper end windings and he inner bore minimizing the need for post cure clean up.&lt;/li&gt;

	&lt;li&gt;VIKING V1630FS CLEAR is a very fast setting, clear air dry, vinyl toluene, vegetable oil, modified insulating varnish. It is thinned with low polarity thinner and can therefore be used with all types of enameled magnet wire. It has minimal effect on electrical tapes.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;VIKING V1630FS CLEAR has good solvent, water and ultra-violet light resistance. Because it is thermoplastic, it can be soldered without removing the film in printed circuit and other applications.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;VIKING V1630FS CLEAR gives a bright surface finish, excellent protection against leakage currents and is particularly useful for protecting metal surfaces against oxidation. It is compatible with most insulation systems and has good chemical and water resistance.&lt;/li&gt;

Sterling&amp;reg; 77X-010 will air dry at 25&amp;deg;C / 77&amp;deg;F in 40 - 60% relative humidity to a tack-free surface in 20 - 30 minutes. Drying can be accelerated by exposure to 125 - 135&amp;deg;F / 257&amp;deg;F - 275&amp;deg;F for 2 - 3 minutes after an initial flash-off of one minute.&lt;br /&gt;

Impregnated windings must allow a minimum of three days at room temperature for evaporation of solvent and penetration of oxygen to achieve best properties.&lt;br /&gt;

VIKING V1380FC is a faster curing version of V1380 low viscosity electrical insulating varnish. Processing&lt;br /&gt;
Application methods are by conventional dip and bake / VPI and / or trickle. When using V1380FC based resins care should be taken to ensure that the resin is not exposed to components with surface temperatures in excess of 40&amp;deg;C to minimise solvent loss and that the resin stock does not exceed 25&amp;deg;C.&amp;nbsp; Note must be made that the component temperature will lag significantly behind indicated oven air temperature, to a degree that will depend on the machine size and oven efficiency.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Processing cont.&lt;br /&gt;
The following cure schedule is recommended for conventional VPI:&lt;br /&gt;
Heat component to drive off moisture and cure electrical tapes and other thermosetting materials: 250&amp;deg;F (120&amp;deg;C) to 275&amp;deg; (135&amp;deg;C) is typical.&lt;br /&gt;
Permit to cool to about 105&amp;deg;F (40&amp;deg;C).&lt;br /&gt;
Immerse partly cooled transformers in vacuum tank containing varnish. Where necessary &amp;ldquo;dry vacuum&amp;rdquo; may be used first (see note 1 below).&lt;br /&gt;
Apply vacuum for 10 to 15 minutes, then release vacuum.&lt;br /&gt;
Permit units to soak in V1380 for 15 minutes after release of the vacuum.&lt;br /&gt;
If needed for better impregnation, apply pressure of 15 psi for 10 to 15 minutes after soaking. Release pressure, then open tank.&lt;br /&gt;
Drain excess varnish over the tank or over a drain board.&lt;br /&gt;
Place in preheated oven for the following times at temperature (cure times listed below are after units reach listed temperature.&lt;br /&gt;
135&amp;deg;C/ 275&amp;deg;F 25 minutes&lt;br /&gt;
120&amp;deg;C/ 248&amp;deg;F 50 minutes&lt;br /&gt;
110&amp;deg;C/ 230&amp;deg;F 2 hours&lt;br /&gt;
100&amp;deg;C/ 212&amp;deg;F 3-4 hours&lt;br /&gt;
90&amp;deg;C/194&amp;deg;F 6-8 hours&lt;br /&gt;

Notes&lt;br /&gt;
For &amp;ldquo;dry vacuum&amp;rdquo; &amp;ndash; place units in vacuum tank with no varnish. Vacuum at 29&amp;quot; to 30&amp;quot; vacuum for 5 minutes. Break vacuum to 15&amp;quot; or 20&amp;quot; by admitting air. Admit varnish through a control valve to vacuum tank. Increase vacuum to desired level and hold for 15 to 20 minutes, then release vacuum and continue steps 5 to 8 above.&lt;br /&gt;
